TRACE research project
Mtech's research project covers the analysis of development trends in regulation and standards, predicting possible future scenarios regarding the food system. At the same time, the necessary data sources and types are examined, and information architectures and information systems suitable for their processing are studied, and attribute data utilization tests are carried out. The research project has received funding from Business Finland, and its initiation is related to Mtech's new strategy.
Project tasks
The project investigates the creation, sharing and utilization of food system attribute information. It includes:
- analysis of development trends in regulation and standards
- predicting future scenarios from the perspective of the food system
- review of data sources and data types
- studying of information architectures and systems
- test implementations of utilizing attribute information.
Project objectives
The goal of the project is to have the food chain digitized effectively and in a scalable way, so that the information and data structures would offer all actors as much value as possible for business development and the utilization of attribute data.
