With the support of Food Data Finland, you can apply for co-innovation funding from Business Finland. RDI activities can be, for example, the development of your own product, service or activity.

The conditions are:

• the project involves other companies and a research organisation
• the project aims to increase export capabilities
• you have secured your own financial contribution.

Business Finland's financial contribution to development projects is typically 40-70% (grant 40-50%, loan 50-70%). The company must also have its own internal decision to earmark its own financial contribution to the project.

The recommendation of the management team supports a positive financing decision

The Food Data Finland management team's recommendation to the development project idea sends a strong signal to Business Finland to provide funding. The team will evaluate the project plan in relation to the program´s objectives and the needs of the overall development of the food chain. The management team will also decide whether to recommend the project to be included in the Food Data Finland program. The likelihood of a positive recommendation by the management team increases when elements of the project plan that promote the use of food chain data can be identified, such as improving chain transparency, ease of data sharing and promoting data aggregation.
